Archive for December, 2011

I’m borrowing a quote from the Cowboy Magic company and rewriting it to be applicable to the dog world. “The wellbeing of tomorrows DOGS and the DOG FANCY (showing, performance events, etc) rests in the hands of TODAYS YOUTH. If you love DOGS, do all you can to teach the YOUTH about DOGS!”.

Many of us, myself included, share an affinity for dogs that began at a young age. For me it was a fascination with their skills in learning and their unconditional love. I was lucky to drive ahead and learn more on my own without the guidance of a parent involved in the Fancy. However with all of the activities being presented to our youth today, dog related activities aren’t usually front and center. Still I know that kids love dogs and if Given the opportunity to learn more and get involved many probably would. Think about the above quote, and then consider how you might be able to make a difference for the continuation of Dog related sports and activities as well as in the life of a child!
